  • The CISCO877-K9 is one of the 870 Series of integrated services routers. These fixed-configuration routers can be used to establish secure Virtual Private Network (VPN) connections from small remote offices and teleworkers to larger enterprise networks.

The four-port 10/100-Mbps managed switch provides connections for multiple devices and has the ability to designate a port as the network Demilitarized Zone (DMZ). Virtual LAN (VLAN) support allows computers to be moved to another location without reconfiguration.

The Cisco Router and Security Device Manager (SDM) Web-based configuration tool simplifies setup and deployment. Its centralized management capabilities give network managers visibility and control of the network configurations at the remote site.

The CISCO877-K9 model is useful when the connection to the rest of the network is through an ADSL analog phone line.

Please note: The equipment shipped may be new or refurbished at Cisco's discretion.

Product service and support: Cisco will provide five years of hardware and software service and support ("SMARTnet") for any product or product bundle obtained through this donation program.

    Cisco 24-Port Ethernet Switch

    Requirements:
    AC input voltage/frequency:
    • 100 to 240 V
    • 1.3 to 0.8 A
    • 50 to 60 Hz
    Environmental constraints:
    • Operating temperature: 32 to 104ºF (0 to 40ºC)
    • Storage temperature: -13 to 158ºF (-25 to 70ºC)
    • Operating relative humidity: 10 to 85 percent (noncondensing)
    • operating altitude: Up to 1000 feet (3049 meters)
    • Storage altitude: Up to 15,000 feet (4573 meters)
    Features:
    • Enhancements to the standard Spanning Tree Protocol, such as Per-VLAN Spanning Tree Plus (PVST+), UplinkFast, and PortFast, help to maximize network uptime.
    • Multilayer QoS features help ensure that network traffic is classified and prioritized, and that congestion is avoided in the best possible manner.
    • Express Setup simplifies initial configuration of a switch through a Web browser.
    • ACLs can be used to restrict access to sensitive portions of the network by denying packets based on source and destination MAC addresses, IP addresses, or TCP/User Datagram Protocol (UDP) ports. ACL lookups are done in hardware, so forwarding performance is not compromised when implementing ACL-based security.
